Senka. Urban Nostalgic Experience festival became a kind of ode to the Sennyi Market, which was demolished back in 2004.
The event’s organizers created a large-scale vintage flea market, hosted DJ sets, and collected memories of “Senka,” reminding Kyiv residents of the importance of preserving the city’s historical places.
“SENKA is a unique space where you can purchase works by contemporary Ukrainian artists, fashionable clothing, and jewelry by Kyiv-based designers and jewelers. This year, we aim to support proactive movements and Kyiv communities that stand guard over the historical heritage of our city,” the organizers stated.
Festival program included:
- A pop-up exhibition featuring prominent artists
- An incredible art market
- Vintage shopping
- Music
- Workshops
- Delicious food
- A photo zone
- Activities by urban preservation initiatives
